When Hancock saves the life of PR executive, Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), Ray makes it his mission to change Hancock's image and help him regain the support of the people. Hancock grudgingly accepts and Ray convinces him to turn himself into the authorities who subsequently imprison him for his lawless behaviour. As the crime rate begins to increase, the people of Los Angeles realise just how important Hancock was to the safety of the city. With his reputation restored, everything seems right again... until Hancock meets Ray's wife (Charlize Theron), a woman with similar powers to his own, who may hold the key to his secret past.

After chasing a fugitive with an advanced alien weapon, New York cop James Edwards (Will Smith) finds himself recruited to the MiB, a top secret agency in charge of alien immigration on Earth. He is partnered with K (Tommy Lee Jones), and sent to investigate an alien prediction of the end of the world. They have to track down a hostile alien life form currently wearing the human skin of a country hick named Edgar.

Unfortunately K has no memory of his former role as 'Saver-of-the-World', but somewhere in his head is the expertise that can save the Earth, if only J can get him onside in time.

Double bill featuring movies that focus on America's recent involvement in foreign countries. In 'The Kingdom' (2007), when a terrorist bomb detonates inside a Western housing compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an international incident is ignited. While diplomats slowly debate equations of territorialism, FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx) quickly assembles an elite team and negotiates a secret five-day trip into Saudi Arabia to locate the madman behind the bombing. Upon landing in the desert kingdom, however, Fleury and his team discover Saudi authorities suspicious and unwelcoming of American interlopers into what they consider a local matter. Hamstrung by protocol, and with the clock ticking on their five days, the FBI agents find their expertise worthless without the trust of their Saudi counterparts who want to locate the terrorist in their homeland on their own terms. Fleury's crew finds a like-minded partner in Saudi Police Captain Al-Ghazi (Ashraf Barhom), who helps them navigate royal politics and unlock the secrets of the crime scene and the workings of an extremist, hell bent on further destruction. 'Jarhead' (2006) is an adaptation of former Marine Anthony Swofford's Gulf War memoir. Young recruit Swofford (Jake Gyllenhaal) joins up with the US Marines (nicknamed 'Jarheads' because of their distinctive haircuts) on the eve of the 1990 Gulf War. After a brutal spell in boot camp, during which Swofford and his fellow recruits are systematically geared up for the conflict, the Marines are dispatched to the deserts of the Persian Gulf to take part in a war that sees them required to do very little in the way of fighting. Bored and frustrated in the middle of nowhere, the young soldiers resort to a macabre sense of humour as they wait for the war to happen to them.

This rollicking and slightly absurd comedy from director Jesse Peretz (FIRST LOVE, LAST RITES) begins when Tom Reilly (Zach Braff) loses his promising chef job at a swanky New York restaurant. He is compelled to move to small-town Ohio to take a job with his father-in-law (Charles Grodin) at an advertising agency to support his wife, Sofia (Amanda Peet), and newborn son. Tom's adjustment to the rhythms and rituals of the office world is awkward at best, and complicated by the presence of an old high-school flame of Sofia's (Jason Bateman), a passive-aggressive paraplegic who schemes to get Sofia back. Meanwhile, Sofia must cope with the shock of switching roles from powerful big-city lawyer to stay-at-home suburban mother. Young working parents will identify with the familiar conflicts presented here as the embattled Tom and frustrated Sofia struggle to make sense of their new responsibilities. Braff purveys his patented nerdy charm as a nice guy whose behaviour becomes more and more manic as the rug gets continually pulled out from under him, and Peet is a lovely screen presence even as her character's patience and enthusiasm fade in less than attractive ways. Their performances blend wry intelligence with out-and-out slapstick, and they are supported by a superb ensemble cast including Amy Poehler, Amy Adams, Paul Rudd, Donal Logue, and Mia Farrow. While some of the situations and jokes border on tasteless, it's the smart kind of gross-out humor of a Farrelly Brothers or Jay Roach film, and the film never never loses its heart, as embodied by Braff and Peet.

Nicole Kidman and Jason Bateman star in this dark comedy drama based on the novel by Kevin Wilson. Annie and Baxter Fang (Kidman and Bateman) had an extremely unusual childhood, with their parents using them as props in their performance art pieces. As Annie grows up to be a successful actress and Baxter an acclaimed author, they return to their family home after Baxter is shot and in need of recuperation. When they receive a call from the police saying that their parents are missing and believed dead, the siblings disagree over whether the news is real or simply their most elaborate performance. The cast also includes Christopher Walken, Maryann Plunkett and Kathryn Hahn.

When Mr. Magorium, the store's extraordinary 243 year-old proprietor (Hoffman), announces that he will at long last hand over the reigns of his wonder-expanding Emporium to his unconfident young manager, Molly Mahoney (Portman), the store decides to throw an unusual tantrum. As a skeptical accountant named Henry (Jason Bateman) comes in to audit the Legos and Lincoln Logs, not to mention the Whodathoughts and Whatchamacallits, the once sparkling, colour-saturated Emporium is suddenly embattled by mysterious changes. The playful toys are all still there, but they've turned gray and quiet - and only Mahoney and Henry can revive them if, with the help of a superdexterous 9 year-old (Zach Mills), they can find the source of magic inside themselves.

In 'Identity Thief' (2013), after learning that his credit cards are being used to fund the lavish lifestyle of shopaholic Miami resident Diana (McCarthy), mild-mannered Denver accountant Sandy Patterson (Jason Bateman) sets out to clear his credit rating by bringing her back to face the music. But with the clock ticking and Diana deciding to dig her heels in, Sandy soon finds himself forced to try every trick in the book, and some that aren't, to bring his fugitive home.
